BIOMETRIC ACCESS CONTROL SYSTEMS
The fingerprint scanner is one biometric control system that is going out of style. The thing about your fingerprint is that it’s still there in the event that your finger is severed. To address this loophole, devices that detect the veins in the fingers rather than the fingerprint were created. So, if anyone were to cut off the hand or finger and try and access the security system, they couldn’t. This may sound rather extreme, but it is a realistic consideration.
SECRET HIDDEN PASSAGEWAYS
Our Home Engineering Team has been building custom secret door systems and passageways, including automated and high security doors for over a decade. Blending 16 years of award-winning precision engineering with renowned high-security expertise, our team builds the hidden passageways our clients can imagine. Whether a bookcase door, a lifting staircase or a revolving fireplace our team has crafted it. Whether the goal is a wine room entrance, a home theater passageway, or a secret vault door, we will transform our clients dreams into reality.
PANIC ROOM
Our Home Engineering Team can create an entire safe core inside a mansion. By installing bullet- and bomb-proof door, walls, ceiling and floors, an entire area of the home, including bedrooms and bathrooms, is considered safe. With a week’s worth of supplies stored in the safe core, a family can live comfortably while they wait out the threat.
NBC (NUCLEAR-BIOLOGICAL-CHEMICAL) ATTACK SHELTERS
This high-end twist on the age-old bomb shelter is called an NBC (Nuclear-Biological-Chemical) shelter. It protects against nuclear, biological and chemical attacks, and everything short of an asteroid hitting earth. It is 20 feet underground for maximum effectiveness and has a bullet- and bomb-proof door, chemical and biological filtering systems, reinforced hatchways, blast valves, corrosion anodes, generators, and a few other things. These shelters aren’t kidding around – they are built to protect you under the worst circumstances.
The NBC Attack Shelter is stocked with gas masks, NBC suits and supply-filled backpacks in case anyone wants to venture above ground to see what’s going on. They are also fitted with biological wash showers that can scrub away offending chemical or biological agents in the event of a bio-attack. It also has everything the ultra-wealthy need to survive for at least three months, including imperishable foods, water and “good air.”
The construction of NBC Attack Shelters can come after the houses are already built, but the more elaborate and costly bunkers are considered in the plans prior to the construction of the home. These bunkers, are designed by our Home Engineering Team who plan, construct and operate discreetly.
HOME COMMAND CENTER
Within a home’s safe core is another safe room that is the Command Center. A ballistic door separates it from the safe core, and it’s where everything happens. The home’s occupants can view the entire house and neighborhood on a computer screens and tablets, thanks to the cameras strategically placed throughout the inside and outside of the building. They can also communicate with whoever is in the house and deploy any tactical security measures necessary.
SHOTGUN SHELL WEAPON
While this device may not look like a weapon, it is actually quite deadly. Hidden behind walls and ceilings to blend with the architecture, it shoots 15 shotgun shells when activated. The weapon can be deployed remotely, and requires a series of authentications before it can fire. This last-resort option can be used when armed intruders have breached the interior of the home, and one’s life is in danger to the point of being trapped and not being able to enter one’s Secret Passageway, Panic Room or Command Center to acquire safety. While it has been installed in homes outside the U.S., we have rarely installed Shotgun Shell Weapons in homes within the U.S.; however, this option is available to those who want to take their home security to the next level, offensively; and not just defensively.
SECURITY FOG SYSTEM
Whenever an intruder is detected, one clever way to catch them off guard and prevent them from carrying out their plans is through “flash fogging” via our Security Fog Systems. One of the biggest benefits of this tactic is that intruders will have less visibility, making it harder to vandalize property or steal goods. The following are the benefits and advantages of this effective security solution: • Immediate Protection – the fog machine fills a room with dense security fog, preventing the intruder from seeing anything. Security fog stops burglars and robbers in seconds! • Highly Effective – the security fog system is the most effective method of preventing burglaries, robberies and vandalism. • Harmless – the security fog leaves no residue, and is completely harmless to humans and animals. It will not affect clothing, furnishings or electrical equipment. • Keeps Intruders Out for Capture - it will keep intruders out for up to one hour – enough time for police or security personnel to arrive.
A MOAT
A moat is a deep, broad ditch, either dry or filled with water, that is dug and surrounds a house, fortification, or building, to provide it with a preliminary line of defense. In ancient times, the existence of a moat was a natural result of early methods of fortification by earthworks, for the ditch produced by the removal of earth to form a rampart made a valuable part of the defense system. Some moats have evolved into more extensive water defenses, including natural or artificial lakes, dams and sluices. In older fortifications, such as hillforts, they are usually referred to as ditches, although the function is similar. Moats or water defenses may be largely ornamental, and could also act as a sewer. Our Home Engineering Team can design and construct a moat that both accentuate the beauty of our client’s home, as well as provide a security perimeter to help defend the home against criminals who want to enter the property.
ONBOARD YACHT SECURITY
Security systems on yachts cost upwards of a half a million, but are a necessity to fend off modern pirates. Pirates have evolved a lot since the days of parrots and eye-patches and a mega yacht is about as close as you can get to a treasure chest. Isolated in the open sea, a floating vessel of wealth like a yacht is an easy target. That’s why so much money is thrown into keeping this floating asset safe. The world’s richest people are spending millions arming their superyachts with military-style technology and trained personnel to fight off potential attackers. The threat of these pirates has led many owners to equip their vessels with the latest James Bond-like technology—hidden chambers, escape pods, tracking devices, and ex-Marines employed as security guards.
Since mega yachts and their wealthy owners make prime targets for pirates and terrorists, many opt to turn their expensive toys into secure fortresses. The idea is similar to what’s done in their homes, but the stakes are much higher since help can be an ocean away. The wealthy have reason to be cautious. There were 195 pirate attacks worldwide in 2020, up from 162 the previous year. According to the U.S. Navy records, four yachts were hijacked by pirates in the United States four years ago.
PRIVATE JET SECURITY
If millions are spent in security by water, then how much more is spent in the air. That’s right. Millions are spent on the protection of private jets. The theme of military-grade fortifications continues as anti-missile defense systems are becoming standard for millionaires/billionaires with personal aircraft. Security teams take every precaution when the aircraft is on the ground. But the protection doesn’t end there, it can also continue when the plane is airborne. Security experts tell CNBC that there is a couple dozen aircraft in the world that have electronic counter measures to thwart an incoming missile attack. These measures can include a jamming system that blocks the infrared tracking systems for missiles.
PRIVATE BODY GAURDS
Security is no longer just for heads of state and mega celebrities. Increasingly, the merely wealthy are adding them to the payroll. Rich people deal with risk specific to being rich. Being wealthy doesn't solve all one’s problems. There are just other sets of problems. In properly staffed households throughout the world, the bodyguard is the new nanny.
The 6’5″, 310-pound suit-and-earpiece bodyguard that stands near with crossed arms, surveying the area around their employer is of the past. Oftentimes these bodyguards can’t be missed. It can be discouraging when someone see two men the size of defensive linemen standing in between an individual and the wallet they’re trying to steal.
FULL-TIME SECURITY TEAM
Our highly-trained protection agents are trained to reduce risks to our client’s security and privacy while operating with discretion and allowing them to maintain their normal lifestyle. The positive is that there’s always someone around-the-clock guarding our client’s home, office and remote locations. The guards are positioned throughout the complex whether at the entrance or in undisclosed locations. Our protocol is based on the U.S. Secret Service’s “3 Rings of Protection,” which provides maximum protection while minimizing intrusiveness and prioritizes proactive and preventative security. We believe that a well-structured security engagement begins with thorough risk and vulnerability assessment of – as appropriate – our client’s residence(s), corporate office(s), and theirs and their family’s lifestyle and routines. This allows us to identity, prioritize, and address their most potent sources of risk.
SURVEILANCE
Surveillance is another key component of security. So much information can be attained about an individual with just a few days of surveillance.
